The partnership’s purpose is to strengthen the capacity of the two Pakistani partner universities so that they can train more women in the fields of science, technology and engineering (STE), and to increase the opportunities available to women to participate in STE research in Pakistan. California State University Fullerton (CSUF) faculty will collaborate on curriculum development as well as research, internship, and employment opportunities with their counterparts at both Pakistani partner institutions.

University partners will provide two graduate scholarships for Pakistani women to earn their master’s degrees in STE fields from CSUF. Additionally, ten full graduate scholarships (over two-years) and 80 partial undergraduate scholarships (over one-year periods) will be awarded for Pakistani women to complete degrees in STE at the host country partner institutions.
 
Focusing on the future, the partnership will reach beyond the participating universities to attract more women to science and technology fields. The university partners will hold an open house for female students in high school and junior college twice annually and conduct regular visits to local high schools and junior colleges for advising on STE careers. The partners will also hold annual job and internship fairs at the two Pakistani partner universities to increase the number of women graduates from the partner institutions entering the STE job market by 10%.
