Privacy
Students reading about visas and scholarships here are not being profiled: The Open Quad has no user accounts, comment threads, newsletter, adverts, affiliate tracking or analytics, and sets no cookies.
What is collected
- By The Open Quad: nothing. The magazine is a set of static pages; no tracking script runs on them and readership is not measured.
- By the hosting provider: the pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which logs the technical details of each request (IP address, time, address requested) to serve the magazine and shield it from attacks. Its postal address appears in the legal notice.
Fonts and images
Spectral and Hanken Grotesk, the two typefaces of The Open Quad (both under the SIL Open Font License), are stored with the magazine and load from its own address, so no font service such as Google Fonts sees your visit. The campus and classroom photographs are stored here too and never fetched from elsewhere; their origins are listed on the photo credits page.
No third-party services
No study-abroad guide here embeds a map, a video, a social button, a comment widget, an enquiry form or an ad script, so nothing on the page reports back to a third party.
Links to other sites
Guides point to immigration authorities, ministries, international organisations, universities and scholarship programmes so you can check every rule at its source. These links carry no tracking or agent codes; the destination sites have privacy policies of their own.
Questions
Questions about this policy can be put to The Open Quad as described on the contact page.
